Fluid Dynamics and Biomechanics of the Human body have intrigued me for as long as I can remember.  In the 90's I found my flow, my soul ignition .... whitewater kayaking ~ it just made sense.  I was blessed with a kayaking instructor that became much more; a mentor to me still today.   Through the years I worked as a raft guide for NOC and then as a kayaking instructor for Zoar Outdoor, Tumalo Creek Kayak and Canoe and a few other shops.  There are many individuals who have inspired me, taught me, offered opportunities, and led me the rivers that keep calling me back.  I am a certified  ACA Whitewater Instructor Trainer.

I started practicing yoga in the late 90s in Massachusetts, immediately falling in love with Ashtanga for the breath-based rhythmic and progressive flow. After suffering many injuries resultant from hard play, I moved to Bend, Oregon to rehabilitate my body.   This is where I met Ulla Lundgren who supported, nourished, and promoted many sessions of body healing and transformations since. I completed a 200H Hatha/Annusara Teacher Training in 2012 with Ulla.  This training complimented my undergraduate degree in Exercise Science (UMASS Amherst February 1999).  Regular practice in good alignment is essential to my continued joint health. I also enjoy taking yoga on the water ~ Stand Up Paddle board style!

Being raised a native speaker of both Spanish and English has promoted may opportunities in life.  One of which was becoming a Bilingual Speech-Lanugage Pathologist.  I offer services in both Spanish and English to a variety of clients.   I received a MA in Communication Disorders from UMASS Amherst in February 2004.

I love sharing the things that feed my soul, especially when I can do it in a way that encourages safety and promotes a lifelong practice.  You might catch me volunteering for events and with organizations that align with my core beliefs.  I really enjoy sharing paths, that may not have previously been considered, to individuals with diverse abilities.  My goal is to do this in a safe, fun, and supportive environment.
